From Homemade Treats to a Brand People Remember
Sprinkled Up Bake Shop
What began as a passion for baking quickly grew into a vision for something much bigger. Ashley wanted to turn her handcrafted baked goods into a memorable local brand that could stand out at markets and celebrate her love of baking.
Rather than designing a logo alone, the goal was to create a complete brand experience. Every decision was made to build a playful, recognizable identity that would connect with customers, create lasting impressions, and grow alongside the business from local markets to future opportunities.
Building the Personality Before the Logo
BRAND STRATEGY
Unlike most branding projects, Sprinkled Up didn’t begin with a logo.
The creative process started by developing the mascot family and defining the personality behind the brand. Once the tone, color palette, typography, and visual language were established, everything else naturally fell into place. The final badge design became the foundation of a cohesive identity system that could grow consistently across every customer touchpoint.
By building the personality first, every future design decision felt intentional, resulting in a brand that feels playful, handcrafted, and unmistakably Sprinkled Up.
Bringing the Brand to Life
MASCOT DESIGN
The custom mascot family became the heart of the Sprinkled Up identity, giving the brand a friendly face that customers could instantly recognize and connect with. More than an illustration, the mascots represent Ashley’s personality while adding warmth, energy, and storytelling across every customer interaction.
From packaging and social media to signage and apparel, the mascots create memorable moments that encourage customers to smile, engage with the brand, and remember Sprinkled Up long after they’ve finished the last cookie.
A Brand That's as Memorable as the Experience
Logo & Brand Identity
The identity was designed to feel bright, playful, and handcrafted while reflecting the care and creativity behind every baked good. The visual language creates a distinctive personality that’s instantly recognizable and enjoyable to experience.
The goal wasn’t simply to design a logo. It was to build a brand so memorable that customers would be just as excited to wear a Sprinkled Up T-shirt or carry a branded tote bag as they would be to take home a fresh box of baked goods.
Every Detail Designed to Work Together
BRAND APPLICATIONS
Once the identity system was established, the visual language was carried consistently throughout every customer-facing application to create a seamless and recognizable brand experience. For this project, I designed the complete logo and brand identity, custom mascot family, website, business cards, loyalty cards, thank you cards, printed menus, product stickers, custom packaging tape, rubber stamp, A-frame signage, event signage, a branded table cover, pop-up market canopy, T-shirts, and tote bags. Every piece was intentionally created as part of the larger identity system, ensuring customers experience the same playful, handcrafted personality whether they’re browsing the website, visiting a local market, receiving a custom order, or carrying home a branded tote bag.
Extending the Experience Online
Website Design
The website was designed to capture the same playful energy customers experience in person while making it easy to browse, place custom orders, learn about upcoming markets, and connect with the business.
By combining engaging photography, thoughtful messaging, and a cohesive visual identity, the website extends the Sprinkled Up experience beyond local markets while helping the business continue to grow.
Creating an Experience People Gravitate Toward
THE RESULT
One of the most rewarding moments of the project was seeing the fully branded market booth assembled for the very first time. After months of developing the identity, watching every element come together transformed the brand from an idea into an experience.
The impact became immediately apparent at local markets. Customers regularly walked past neighboring vendors to visit the Sprinkled Up booth, while children excitedly pulled their parents over after spotting the colorful mascot and playful branding. It was a reminder that thoughtful branding doesn’t simply make a business look better, it creates curiosity, starts conversations, and gives people a reason to stop.
