Chase What Feels Impossible

When you take on a new task or challenge, it’s tempting to stick with what you already know. You lean into your strengths, avoid the scary parts, and stay where you feel confident. That feels safe, but it also keeps you stuck.

If you really want to grow, you have to shift your mindset. Instead of asking what can I do?, I’ve found it far more powerful to ask myself: what can’t I do?

When you stop thinking about what you can do and start figuring out what you can’t do, that’s when you really grow.

It sounds counterintuitive, but identifying what feels unfamiliar, difficult, or even impossible is the first step toward real progress. Those “can’ts” aren’t dead ends, they’re invitations. They push you out of your comfort zone and into the space where creativity, problem-solving, and learning happen.

By focusing on your limitations and actively working to overcome them, you expand your skills and uncover new strengths. You also build something deeper than skill: resilience.

Every time you tackle something you thought you couldn’t do, you prove to yourself that you’re more capable than you believed. That confidence carries forward, making each future challenge feel just a little less daunting.

The truth is, you are good enough, not because you can already do it all, but because you’re willing to try.

Growth lives in the “can’t.” That’s where you discover what you’re truly capable of.

So next time you’re faced with a challenge, don’t shy away from what feels impossible. Lean in. Chase it.

You’re good enough to figure it out.
